| Facebook has become the short version info spot for those who need their quick audio drug fix for the day. I am constantly amazed at the number of pix that are posted every day by some of these posters (I say that in a good way). Where TuneLand takes a deeper approach of thread building, Facebook has that instant coffee thing going on. Sometimes there are so many facebook audio clubs I have to leave just so I can get to my regular email answering. But for the audio info junky you can stay busy 24/7 visiting these facebook pages. here are a few clubs Vintage Stereo & Hi-Fi Equipment https://www.facebook.com/groups/292093680914713/ Analoguefellowship https://www.facebook.com/groups/306848422730744/ Audio Vintage Lover https://www.facebook.com/groups/120871791853835/ Audio Enthusiasts https://www.facebook.com/groups/317038788667444/ In case you haven't friend me yet here's my page https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1764861045

| How do I like Facebook? It's cool. It allows me to say hi to some of my friends and when I've got something on my mine I can share it. It's also a pretty cool sales tool for the Tune. I like doing little ads mixed in with what I might be listening to. Self promotion has always been a part of the Tune cause there's never been an ad that can cover the tuning audio movement. Tuning's the biggest movement in the history of audio when it comes to how many spokes need to be in the wheel to make it turn. How do you begin to tell a Plug & Play hobby to go Variable? I'm still wondering when that day will come I also don't mean biggest in the electronics sense only, but the most used technology in all of music's life. How long have folks been tuning instruments in other words. | |

| Do you know what else I've discovered since being on Facebook? There's more Vintage Audio than new HEA. Yep the new Hi-enders are out numbered. I'm not talking about the new as in modern, I'm talking about that era of electronics that was between 1995-2018 that we have come to know as Boat Anchor Components (discrete). You know for years the HEA magazines got away with putting down last years models for the latest version and even disregarding some real champions along the way, but Facebook has helped to level that field. Facebook has, in a way, brought pride back to the term HiFi. Facebook to me helps complete the story. There are magazines, forums, websites, trade shows, stores and social media like Facebook. The internet has changed everything and believe it or not the internet trolls' days are numbered along with those who do more talking than walking. Experience rules and I'm glad to see the hobby becoming a more homogenized society. There's so much more to consider sound wise when we include the entire 60 plus years of stereo componentry. Not only electronic componentry but also the sound of old parts vs new. | |
