It's true, we take a different approach to your audio system and don't believe in killing the vibrations. Think about it, if your killing the vibrations your killing part of the audio signal. Lets look at what audio is.

The audio signal, is Vibration!

"AUDIO: acoustic, mechanical, and electrical frequencies corresponding to audible sound waves"

Every material on Earth has an active vibratory action called the Vibratory Code. The "Vibratory Code" is a natural participant within the laws of physics.

Low Tone Redwood

Redwood has been used in instrument making for hundreds of years because of it's wide tonal range when cured properly. We make our Signature Driver basket frames from Low Tone Redwood.

Finding the right tonal wood is an art that MGA has been practicing for over 40 years, all the way back to Michael's professional audio days designing studios and studio monitors.

"I and a few helpers voice all of our wood products by hand. From going to the lumberyard choosing the right tone through to the final coat (sometimes up to 12 coats and sands) it's important to listen during every step to hear how the fundamentals and harmonics form. A good range to listen for at the yard is one lower harmonic and 3 upper harmonics. Where I do my wood pickings that means 1 out of every 200 raw boards make it to the acceptable choice curing rack. From there 1 out of 2 boards make it to the final stage.

Curing is a long process that requires tons of attention over several months to several years depending on any particular boards development. To give you an idea, after the board is cured it will weigh approximately 1/3-1/4 of it's original desert yard weight. Desert yard weight is the weight of a board sitting in a lumberyard in the SW U.S. which is already 1/2-1/3 the weight of your typical midwest yard. When you pick up any of my products you'll notice the low mass."
